Monroe County Crime Lab

ASIS Rochester enjoyed a special tour and presentation of the Monroe County Crime Lab for tis June 2023 meeting. The tour/presentation covered the operation of each of the areas of the Crime Lab including firearms forensics, biological/chemical (DNA) testing, drug testing and handling, and digital and physical evidence.

Formed in 1961, the Monroe County Crime Laboratory is a regional forensic laboratory that serves the City of Rochester, Monroe County and two neighboring counties. The Crime Lab provides scientific analysis of forensic evidence for law enforcement and public safety agencies. The new Crime Lab facility is located at 85 West Broad Street in Rochester, NY.
